IBBA Idaho “Green Lodging” Program
Many of our members are committed to a green, sustainable environment. We know this may be important in your decision regarding your lodging in Idaho. Your choice of a designated Idaho Green Lodging facility is one easy way to leave a smaller environmental footprint, even when you’re away from home. Designated members, of the voluntary IBBA Green Lodging Program, adopt various environmentally friendly alternatives to typical hotel accommodations. Our program includes practices that conserve energy, reduce water consumption, protect air quality, reduce waste, and use locally grown products when possible. The list of properties that have achieved “Green Lodging” status, are designated by a green gem on the IBBA website.
The “Inspected Gem” program
An optional program created for our membership. A recognized bed and breakfast / small lodging consultant, or active IBBA Board Member completes the “GEM” inspection process. This process insures our future guests, that they have selected a facility that will promise to operate at our high level of “Inspected Gem” standards. These standards include appearance, cleanliness, security, service and ethics. The “GEM” icon denotes that participating inns have been inspected at least once every two years.
Current members who would like to apply for any or all of our gem programs should contact Shar or Brian Scott at info@idahobba.com.
